Distal End of the Radius

Distal End of the Radius

The distal end of the radius includes the articular surfaces of the scaphoid and lunate facets. These surfaces mate with the carpal bones in the wrist joint. The distal radius is larger than the ulna and therefore makes up the major portion of the wrist and transmits the majority of the forces across the wrist joint.
