The trochlea is a saddle-shaped anatomical feature of the humerus. It lies in the middle of the distal end and mates with the trochlear notch of the ulna. The surface of both the trochlea and trochlear notch are covered by articular cartilage, which provides a tough, smooth surface for the joint, one of two in the elbow.
